Rubber lining and pulley lagging

Lagging for conveyor drive, take-up and carrying pulleys, and rubber lining of metal surfaces and floors with profiled rubber.

Why pulleys are lagged

Conveyor drive pulleys are produced with or without a profile, according to the customer's specific requirement. Lagging increases friction, displaces liquids and prevents unwanted material building up on the inside of the belt. It also lets the belt run more evenly, at a constant speed and without slipping.

Lagging the take-up and carrying pulleys of a conveyor helps the belt track true and increases its resistance to wear. Rubber lining of metal gives resistance to abrasion, corrosion, acids and other aggressive materials.
